When working with in a project there is a large set of tools and methods I apply. Which one I choose is dependent on the point in the lifecycle and needs to balance the understanding and outcome required by the team.
Reviewing feature needs into epics and architecture
I am a firm believer that if we raise up our community together we all benefit. This is evident in how the industry gains appreciation through education for skilled services. We also all see benefit in recognition as regional thought leaders.
As referenced by Clair Rowland in the book Designing Connected Products, I strongly advocate applying a lens of Consistency, Continuity, and Composition to any connected experience. We also need to in look holistically at the offering of the entire service.
To better understand front and back end I also am learning more of the Maker side of IoT using Arduino.
I have a long history of work within automotive experiences that include work specifically in dashboard or instrument panel experiences. Here is a sampling of the process and outcome of the work with Corvette, Buick Lacross, and Mazda.
My background in industrial design leaves no hesitation to pick up any tool to help illustrate a point. When needed I apply detail however I find a loose sketch can get a long way to tell a story.
